Mr. Santosh Rao
who has done his PGDM from IIM Kolkata and worked with Infosys till
2004 made an informative presentation on Saturday 20-sep-2008.  He
started his own venture Vrixx (pronounced Vriksh,meaning tree) to
provide cost effective web based solutions to educational and
management institutions.

In three hours
session, he explained to students on various issues related to
management education and business world. He also shared his experience
of IIM, like what the students should do for their overall
development beside studies. Mr. Santosh directed the students that how
they can transform themselves as good managers by adopting discipline
and hard work (sleep less and work more), participation in business,
inter-college festivals, placement activities and by developing
positive attitude.

In last one-hour session, he discussed how to use AKGIM@VRIXX a user-friendly portal with important features like:

-          24 hours online networking that brings student, faculty and staff together on a common platform,

-          Provide quick and speedy communication,

-          Can be used for publishing news, events and activities in college,

-          In My Account Section of the portal, one can maintain user directory and calendar for up to date contacts and information,

-          Conduct polls on any topic,

-          One
can contact anyone through Vrixx without knowing email id using the
message boards, farms and chat features. He discussed many more things
and answered various questions of the student regarding their future
prospects and career goal as a successful business leader.

It was a highly informative and inspirational session.
